Spider Diary
This is a female Enoplognatha ovata, and she has kindly built a nest against the kitchen window, using jasmine leaves. It has been there for a few weeks now, and I think I am beginning to see a change in the egg-sac.
I have finally got a macro lens, which has made it possible to take these images - although it is still pretty awkward as the kitchen sink is in the way. The first image was taken with only natural light and no tripod (the spider moved just after I had taken the shot, so I feel lucky to have captured her eyes); the other two images were taken a few days ago with tripod and flash.
I won't sleep tonight!
