CAD Chain Part 2

Due to time (and other constraints) the 'chain' has ended up as a pair of earrings. The silver links which were cast from the printed waxes were cleaned up, adapted and linked together.

Patinated sterling silver, 24ct gold keum boo and rose cut garnets.

This is the first time I've used keum boo in my own work. I got myself a hotplate this week and I was desperate to try it out; I think I need to experiment a bit more but I love the contrast of the gold and the blue patina on the silver recessed areas. It's preferable to electroplating as far as I'm concerned - no nasty chemicals and I can control where the gold goes.
